If you type the letter “i” and it autocorrects to an “A” with a symbol

Its back! I have the new 8+ and today it started with the "A and a ? in a box" when I type the letter "I" in both messenger and text. does anyone know of a fix?

That's exactly what the update was for. Well actually, iOS 11.1.1 was specifically for this. 11.1.2 is for iPhone X screens that seemed to not like cold weather to fix unresponsive screens when it's a bit cold.

Have you updated to iOS 11.1.2? If you haven't do so immediately. If you have and this is still an issue, reboot your phone. Rebooting after a software update often cures minor hiccups.
