Question

WiFi and data freeze and have to be reset.

When using any app on WiFi or AT&T data it will stop working. I have to put the phone in airplane mode to fix the problem. This only started when I updated to iOS 11. I had the problem on my 7 plus and it does the same thing with my iPhone X. I have also reset my network settings. Any ideas?

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you are experiencing issues with your iPhone not working as you expect. Since this happened on your iPhone 7 and now also on your iPhone X, your next step is to use iTunes on your Mac or PC to backup and restore your iOS software to factory settings, as this process erases the information and settings on your device and installs a fresh copy of the latest iOS software. Temporarily setup your phone as new to test your issues, and then restore your backup and test the issues again.
