Live stock data feed 2017

Hello Apple,

Taking the first step to develop a live or delayed USA stock data feed to power a Numbers spreadsheet analysis. Since Yahoo and Google appear un-responsive that way is now blocked. And 3rd party businesses of subscription fees frankly is bad and invasive.

Does any one have a solution or freelancer wish to bid a solution?

"Live" or intraday quotes are no longer available via the STOCK() and CURRENCY() functions. However previous day closing prices still work. I find these adequate for most spreadsheet analysis. If you don't find that sufficient, then you can give feedback to Apple via Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback in your menu. (We're fellow users here in this forum).

Hello Apple, Do not really need your help SG. Sorry for the confusion. I was notifying you of a Work In Progress to get Real Time Data for Apple Numbers! The correspondence thus far includes two data suppliers:

TDA only offers RTD for spreadsheets: RTD thinkorswim supports the RealTimeData (RTD) functions in Excel in order to allow you to do your own custom... (COM) Automation server to retrieve data from thinkorswim in real time. To use RTD, bring up a watchlist on the Quotes sub-tab under the... click on the Printer icon in the top right, and choose "Export to Excel". Because RTD is a function in Excel, you can take full advantage of the power ...

MY REPLY:

RTD is not compatible with OS X; but OS X is a

major operating system. What are your plans to

write an API which will interface with tens of

millions of users of OS X? OS X has capacity

via the functions STOCK() and CURRENCY().

Cheers.

Hello Apple, Well one reply doesn't look promising however another was much more friendly:

Thank you for the reply. I can understand your frustrations but I'm just sharing the facts.

When thinkorswim was developed the coding was based off of Oracle database and not OS X. Unfortunately, this limits some of the capabilities of thinkorswim on a Mac.

We currently have no plans to implement the feature on OS X that I'm aware of.
