Question: How do I delete the "java" ad from my computer

To everyone.

I keep getting a reoccuring pop-up ad on my computer telling me to "To use the “java” command-line tool you need to install a JDK."

Does one really need java on Safarii?

Thanks for all of your help.

I have adblock plus.

I'm guessing that this pop-up is occuring when I am using Google Chrome. I say that, because I work mostly with Chrome and that is when the pop-up occurs. Most of the time Safari is not in use.

Thanks again for your help.

I would suggest moving away from Chrome to Safari because Chrome tends to be a RAM hog. Have you scanned your system with EtreCheck to see if any adware is installed on it? If there is that may be causing your problem too.
