Dell 720, Can it work?

I have a Dell Photo 720 printer from my last computer. The lady at the Apple store said "Oh yeah! A dell priter will work on it." What we ended up having to do is moving a ginormous bulky old HP printer that for some reason doesn't work (doesn't print off the web, now won't turn on!). But are there any drivers that will make it work? If you can help, PLEASE REPLY.

Dell does not list Mac drivers on their website (for obvious reasons) but since most Dell printers are really rebadged Lexmark printers, you may take a look there for drivers. Just look for the Lexmark printer that most closely resembles your printer and try those Mac drivers.

An unsolicited opinion here, but Lexmark printers are remarkably cheap and poorly made. Their inks are also much more expensive than those from other manufacturers. If I were you, when it comes time to buy the next set on inks from Dell, take a look at an HP or Canon printer as they have better Mac support and price their inks much more fairly than Lexmark.

Just a thought.
