Apple Lossless & Match
It seems obvious that the music business in the near future will migrate to cloud storage of lossless files which are then played by music apps which can process these files. There are plenty of cloud storage alternatives and players available already. Apple with its integrated iTunes/Match/iOS player seems to be falling behind in this process by restricting everything in its cloud to 256 kbps.
Anyone have any thoughts or predictions on whether Apple will bite the bullet on this question and allow higher-quality or lossless files to be uploaded?
