Message Receipt On Subaru Info System .

I was using an iPhone 5s which had be upgraded to ISO 11 and was receiving messages on on my information screen in my 2017 Subaru Forrester. I upgraded to the iPhone 7 and now the message receipt has stopped. I transferred my setting from my old phone and both my phone and the information system are current in firmware and updates. Is there something I have to do to allow the messages to transfer to the car that I haven't already done? I asked apple and they said let the latest update to the iPhone 11 settle in for a couple of weeks and then call back??? Does anyone have a new Subaru that has found the problem and resolved it?
