I have a My Music folder on a dvd which was copied from a WindowsXP computer. I changed the import settings in iTunes to use MP3 and attempted to import by clicking file/add from folder, but nothing happened. The iTunes program is on a Windows7 computer.
Where have I gone wrong?
The files on the DVD don't need converting to a new format. Copy them to a folder on your computer, select all and remove the read-only flag that has probably been applied, then move the folder inside the Automatically Add to iTunes folder that is inside your media folder.
