Question: 27" iMac A1312 Mid 2011, PCI-E slots

Hi all!

My question: do the 27" iMac A1312 Mid 2011 have any PCI-E slots?

It will be good to upgrade with pci-e SSD.

iMac, macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)

Unfortunately - NO.

However, it is 2011 iMac -- SATA 3 (at least it has SATA 3) SSD will be sufficient for this 6+ year old machine.

But, remember to reference/check on "a lot of reports" about the hard drive fan would go crazy after HDD replacement.

There are many ways to rectify this fan issue (personally, I prefer in-line thermal sensor, hardware hack approach than software hack).

Good luck
