updating the operating system
I've downloaded an app and it requires version 11 of iOS. My iPad is at 9.5 and it says it is current. Does that mean it's too old to support anything higher?

So, yes won’t be able to use an app that is meant for iOS 11.
If you try to download this app, does it offer to download the last compatible version or is this an all new app made for iOS 11?
