apple pay face id intermittently won’t work

face id to get into phone works flawlessly but face id on apple pay seems to only work half the time. i have tried different angles and even resetting the face id profile but nothing has fixed it. is anyone else also having the problem? does anyone know a fix?

Hi,

On iPhone X Face ID works by using the TrueDepth Camera System. This system is in the "notch" and to get it working best, try the following:

Use Face ID on good lighting and angles https://support.apple.com/en-nz/HT208108
Reset Face ID Data
Contact Apple Support

sorry if i was not specific enough. lighting is good and i have reset the face id ( as you have suggested) neither work.
