Workout power saving mode

Hello.

I am using AW with My Fitness Pal and use steps to evaluate burned calories.

Recently I noticed this option ‘General’ section. Before it was unchecked. I turned it ‘on’.

My concern: should it count burned calories now more accurate than before? I understand that when it’s ‘on’ it will use heart not rate more accurate.

Should I expect higher or lower values for the same amount of steps?

Appreciate your opinion

Hi

Turning on Workout Power Saving Mode disables the built-in heart rate sensor for walking and running workouts, to help extend battery life.

For assistance with questions about using MyFitnessPal (a third-party app) in conjunction with Apple Watch, including any impact of changing that setting on how that third-party app estimates results, I suggest that you consult the developer's app description and support resources.

If your question has not already been answered there, then you can post your own question for the developer's support team.
