Label texting conversation

Most of us text and we have many different threads on our phones. Most threads may have friend or family members overlap which makes is very difficult to find the right thread that we want to respond. Apple please allow us to custom label our threads so they can be easily found or located. For instance, I would like to label one for kids, one for Family (include my husban) or Monday running group, Fri group which may have few friends joining from Monday group, Ect... please also make it possible for Android devices too.
