What happens if you "Forget" an AirPort
Does this remove your settings in the AirPort like assigned addresses?
Thank you.

If you click to "Forget" an AirPort, it will disappear from AirPort Utility.
The AirPort will retain its stored settings, and it might appear again in AirPort Utility after you restart your Mac and/or the AirPort.
If the AirPort will still not appear in AirPort Utility....and you want it to appear.....you will likely need to change a few network settings on your Mac and possibly reset the AirPort back to factory default settings.....which will erase the current configuration settings......and then set up the AirPort again with new settings to see if it might appear again.
"Disappearing AirPorts" is a common bug that seems to be appearing a lot more often on Macs that are running the Sierra and High Sierra operating systems.
