IPad Pro will not multitask

Using iPad Pro 10.5. iOS 11.0. I cannot get any of the multitasking features to work. All settings in General are correct. I have rebooted several times. swipe from bottom to open dock. Tap and drag icon and it goes to center of screen and then right back to dock. Unable to move anything to right or left of screen or swipe in from side in multitasking. Attempting to do so just moves everything on the screen. I have a quality screen protector on the iPad. All other swiping seems to work fine. Other applications swipe fine. I have watched several videos on how to multitask and unable to perform any task shown.

I see that you're unable to use the Multitasking features of your iPad Pro. I'm happy to help.

Use Multitasking on your iPad -- First, review the information in this support article. If you're amenable, remove the screen protector to test.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- If the issue persists, please be sure to have a fresh backup to keep your personal information safe. In order to back up your Health data, the backup needs to be encrypted. iCloud does this automatically, but iTunes doesn't. If you'd like to use iTunes to back up your iPad, refer to this article: About encrypted backups in iTunes

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Even though the title of the article isn't specific to your issue, the section titled "Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again" will walk you through all the steps to reinstall the iOS software on your device

Hi campingshadow. First, conform that you have enabled Settings > General > Multitasking & Dock > Allow Multiple Apps. If that's set, and you're in an app (say Safari), you should be able to drag another app from the dock (Notes, Mail) and multitask. Note that not all apps support multitasking, as either the first or second app. Try it with the Apple apps I named. If it works with them, then your problem is the implementation of the apps you're using.
