Dragging Media onto Timeline not Working

After I upgraded to High Sierra, I was not able to click and drag jpeg, png, and other files directly onto the timeline.I noticed this after I upgraded to High Sierra. I also noticed this happening with the other Macs I have in computer lab I supervise. Please help! I use this feature regularly for work and am slightly panicking. SLIGHTLY.
