When I looked on my setting I looked at my battery and it said that it might need to be serviced ..does it for sure need to be serviced ...or maybe ...how do I know for sure.

Go to apps store download Battery life it will test your battery condition.
Make an appointment at Apple store For checking.
If your battery is 2 /3 years Old it will need replacing.
Or contact Support.apple.com for posting details.
