Cosmetic damage is not covered I would get a good double sided Leather case.

Poor paint quality. It's a common issue since iPhone 7.

seriously , this is an iphone 8 , living in Sri lanka , used with extreme care , and today 25/01/2018 after two months of buying the phone , the paint around the camera ring is going off 🏼♂ sad apple phone boasting about quality but even the paint is going off in just months !!!!!

I saw your post title and all I could think of is the phrase from the old commercial "Ring around the collar." Sorry.

That's why I've always been a big fan of cases.
