gmail sound notifications doesn't go away

Hi,

I get gmail sound notifications when I receive a mail, even though it is turned off .I turned off all notification for the mail app, for google chrome (and all other browsers) and inside gmail. How can I turn of the "chime" sound permanently every time I get a mail?

I have macOS Sierra 10.12.6
