Has anyone else has this nightmare?

I have an early-2011 15” MacBook Pro which has just started not booting and giving me the white screen. I run through diagnostics with Apple first of all and they advised that it sounded like a hardware fault and to contact a repair centre. I have been advised by the repair centre when I called them that this device is now classified as vintage and parts are no longer available. I have just spoke to Apple support again today and the representative run through some extra tests with me, non of which turned out to be fruitful. I have now been advised that there is no way to fix my device and it is now only good for the bin. This is extremely disappointing as £1500 for a device that lasts only 6 years is very poor. Apples reputation has gone down for me and I will not buy a MacBook again.
