My phone has the 11.1.2 version, but this new update is to fix bugs.

It's always highly recommended to install the latest iOS version on your device, because there are also security patches.

Let your iPhone decide.


Go to Settings / Software update.


If your iPhone sees the update and asks you to download and install, give your iPhone the permission to do it.


Although the main features in the update point to iPhone X, there may be security and small bug fix elements in the update file for your iPhone, too.


I updated my iPhone SE the day when the update was released to the public.
