Mac-Pro; High Sierra Slow running

Hi everyone,

I need your advise for the following problem:

installed the latest High Sierra, recommended by Apple. My MacPro is running painfully slow now, tried to use the recommended Safe-start mode several times, it fails and get a black screen. Tried Disk repair, found an error message but else not of any remedy.
