Apple TV 4th Generation Ethernet connection

I have an Apple TV 4th Generation connected to the ethernet via at TP link plug with1200Mbps. Everything worked fine and has been excellent until today when I swapped the plug to resolve an xbox issue. Now the Apple TV will not connect to the internet even when it states that it is connected to the ethernet! The Wifi connection works fine but due to signal strength this is the reason I opted for the TP link plugs, I am at a loss as to the problem as all 3 lights are on and illuminated green but not flickering! Any advise will be useful, thanks.
