Obsolete products are those that were discontinued more than seven years ago. Apple has discontinued all hardware service for obsolete products with no exceptions. Service providers cannot order parts for obsolete products. These include ALL G4 and G5 PPC as well as the following models.

Hi,

As far as Apple hardware service, see the following: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201624

As far as software updates, it is still supported, including the latest OS (High Sierra) and no one knows what the future will bring. Based on past practice, it may be upgradeable for another OS upgrade or two.
