Type I on MacBook Air, Get A

When I type the pronoun I (cap I or small i then space bar) on my MacBook Air, the I turns into an A onscreen. Does anyone have a fix for this? There was a similar problem on iPhone, iPad, iPod that Apple fixed, but A (see what I mean) have not seen a fix for the MacBook Air.
