After the Sierra upgrade my MM2 will not select (click). It also disables the select on my Mac Pro trackpad. If I disconnect the MM2, selectability returns to the trackpad. Both MM2 and trackpad can track the cursor.

I’m having similar problem but a bit inverse of yours – after the HS upgrade my MM2 only ⚠ selects (acts as if the left "button" was pressed all the time). Therefore I can only navigate the cursor that is clicked all the time, and the only way to resolve this is to disconnect. Trackpad works normally.
As this is only 3-days old, I’m not starting a new thread but hope this will be resolved by the same solution.
