Problem when opening preset or exs instrument files for Logic in High Seirra

I have been, like everyone, having problems with logic on high sierra. I have seen repeatedly that command you put into terminal to find that hidden directory. It brings me to the folder, but when I try to open one of the preset or exs instrument files, it just says the file can't be opened. I also found the Audio Music Apps folder, and it has the same exact files in it and it and has the same problems. I have seen that you are supposed to copy and paste that hidden direcory folder into the Audio Music Apps folder, but that seems risky. I want to know if I am missing something here before I do anything else. Thank you!
