iPod Touch not playing all songs entirely.

My 16 Gb iPod touch never did play all songs through, but always cut some songs off in the middle, sometimes going silent until advanced to the next song. Restoring the iPod and re-syncing the content can shuffle about the songs with this problem, but it's still enough to ruin my listening on the go.

Someone once told me that it's because the iPod couldn't access wifi, but not being able to use it out of range of my wifi defeats the entire purpose of having an iPod. I bought it to listen on the go and on the bus, or to plug into a car stereo. Not to stay at home or in a hipster coffee house somewhere.

Anyone know a fix for this?
