Question: Storage

I have run out of iPhone storage so I paid 79p to buy more iCloud storage and nothing has changed, I still can’t take pictures or do anything in my phone. I don’t understand. If i delete my pictures and videos from my phone will they stay on my iCloud so that I can keep the pictures but still download things and take new pictures on my phone?

It sounds like you ran out of space on the phone.

iCloud is a syncing system, not an external 'hard drive'. If you delete them on your device, they will delete from iCloud. To increase space available, go Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and select Optimize iPhone/iPad Storage. That will reduce the space required by about 90% when fully effective.

You might want to consider a different cloud storage, such as Dropbox, OneDrive, or Flicker, that would allow you to remove the photos from the phone.
