iMessages not going through. Tried to send a few picture messages and instead of going to my contacts in blue, they were green. I know it sounds stupid, but I have always been confused and frustrated by iCloud. And I am an intelligent individual.

iCloud is not related to Messages.

Green messages are SMS and are a service provided by your carrier.
