iPod touch (6th generation) Battery Life

I currently use an iPod touch (6th generation) almost every day and I take it to me everywhere as I don’t have a phone (Don’t ask why, I’ll get one eventually). I bought the iPod back in August of 2017. It has worked fine except for one issue, the battery life on it is really short. It seems I can only get 2-3 hours of use before the battery runs out of power. Does anyone with this device have short battery life, or is it just me?
