iPhone Contacts not syncing to Contacts App in my MBP 2017

Hi,

I need help with syncing.

I turned on iCloud for my iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 11.1.1) and told it to sync with iCloud so my contacts on my phone would go into the iCloud.

However, when I open up the Contacts app in my MBP TouchBar (15 in, 2017; OS Sierra 10.12.6), it DOES NOT have all of my contacts from my phone.

I even connected my phone to my iTunes (12.7.1.14) and under the Info panel after selecting my iPhone, it says that “Your contacts are being synced with your iPhone over the air.”

And all of those tips took such a long time to try but I did them anyway (what took the longest was disconnecting iCloud from my phone and reconnecting it again).

So why isn’t my contacts from my iPhone syncing to my Contacts app in my MacBookPro?
