How can I get a copy of OSX 10.8?

How can I get a copy of OSX 10.8. There seems to be no download links that work, and outside the US, I can't seem to buy it. My MacBook Pro is stuck on 10.7, and I need 10.8 to get on the upgrade path. Is there is no "legit" Apple solution? Otherwise I am forced to buy a USB off Amazon.

If you're going to be upgrading past 10.8, skip it and download El Capitan or Sierra.

If not, check the online Apple Store for your country.
