Dock in iOS 11.1.2 interferes with web-browsing, games on iPad

I like the new dock in iOS 11.1.2 - but as of November 19th, 2017 it interferes with games, apps and web-browsing on the iPad. (I'm using an iPad Air.) When you scroll through Google results, the dock comes up in Safari & Chrome, interfering with your view of the screen. When you play games, the slightest touch pulls up the dock, interfering with the controls for the game. (Photos below.) We need to be able to shut off the dock when we aren't on the Home Screen. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have a fix that works? Thanks GTO

Hi. I'm not sure if the screenshots really add anything to your post. But, the Dock only appears if you swipe up from off the edge of the screen. I agree that can be tricky in fast action, like games. Since the Dock is now part of multitasking on the iPad, there's really no way to disable it. But it would be a useful feature to have, maybe on an app-specific basis. I suggest that you let Apple know by posting at this link: Feedback - iPad - Apple.
