Are all previous individual plans that were in place prior to joining a family plan automatically canceled? There was no notice on what happened to all the individual plans after combining everyone.

Prior to Apple making family share of iCloud storage available, I had each of my family members on their own individual plans which were paid for. Adding them all to my account was simple enough. But I didn't get a notice about what happens to the individual plans that are no longer being used. Do I get a pro-rated refund? Are they still active until I go in somewhere to de-active them? It's not obvious where you go to do this if so.

I've been looking for this page. Thank you for sharing it. Very helpful. However, I did eventually call Apple Support and an agent confirmed for me that all of my family members were automatically downgraded to "free" once I added them to my account. I went into each account to confirm. Would still be useful for Apple to message this more clearly for folks.
