iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2015) DEAD!

I've owned this iPad Pro for the past few years and it has worked flawlessly.

However, yesterday, I checked to see if it was completely charged before taking it out to work and it was completely, totally dead!

I tried pushing the power button and the home button at the same time for ten seconds, nothing! I tried recharging, nothing. I checked the charging port to make sure it was clear, it was. I'm absolutely dead in the water. I would return it to Apple for repair but it costs over $500! Any ideas?

HELP!!!

When did you purchase this 1st gen iPad Pro in 2015?

They came out in mid-Nov 2015.

Did you purchase extended 2-year AppleCare+?

If you did, it might be still under warranty or very close to where Apple could decide to still honor it!

If you only took the free, standard 1-year AppleCare, then, you will have to pay for the 60% cost for a replacement/refurbished iPad Pro or if this is a battery issue only, Apple has battery replacement for iDevices.

A battery replacement for an iPad Pro is $99 U.S.D..

Bring it into Apple for diagnosis and see what they conclude is your iPad issue/s.

Good Luck to You!

Thanks for the information. I purchased the iPad Pro 32GB on March 7th, 2016. I did not purchase an extended warrantee. So I'm SOL. I just wondered if anyone knew a "special trick" that might bring it back. It wasn't dropped or injured in anyway. In fact, there is not a scratch on it. It's always been in a case and treated very gently.

I've owned many iPads (4), iPad Minis (2) and never had a problem! I've never seen anything like it.
