ARGH - HP C3180 no AE support -- AND, no DEFAULTS?!?!?!!?

Bought the HP Photosmart C3180 yesterday, hoping to hook it up to my Airport Express Network so I could wirelessly print from two separate computers. After much research I realize that the C3180 has no support for AE. There is a slight workaround using a "gimp driver," but it limits the printers functionality. That said, I decided to just manually input the USB cable each time I want to print on respective printers.

Now, HERE'S THE REAL QUESTION: How do I tell my iMac/Printer to default print in draft mode (low ink mode/grayscale)????

I used to have an Epson, and everytime I wanted to print something, I had to go into the print settings, change from color to grayscale, and then set it to draft quality. I could never find a way to make the computer/printer keep those settings as defaults. And now, with the HP, I'm having the same problem. I cannot find for the life of me, where I can tell the computer/printer to always print grayscale/draft quality. When I have to print multiple pages, it gets time consuming having to always go through and change the settings.

Please help... and THANK YOU for you time.
