Hi - I have a Mac. It’s a little over a year old. A MacBook air notebook, 13 inch mac OS Sierra.

I have an old printer, Cannon i455, and an old scanner, Cannon Cano Scan Lide 30. I like them and they work fine with an older computer. Is there a way to get these attached and working with my Mac notebook?

The newest driver I can find for the printer is here:

https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/suppo rt-inkjet-printer/i-series/i455?tab=drivers_downloads

Click the dropdown and select Mac OS X Snow Leopard v10.6

For the scanner:

https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/scanners/suppo rt-scanners-canoscan-series/canoscan-lide-30?tab=drivers_downloads

Select Mac OS X Tiger v10.4

This is a stab in the dark though, those are considerably older operating systems and the drivers may do nothing.

You can try setting them up as generic devices if they are detected over USB:

(I would try this after installing the two links above.)
