How long does the screen record for ? My times out after about a minute and doesn’t save

Thanks, but not really an answer, I have a 64Gb iPad with 32B GB Free...I am trying to record a video for a project
bit it just stops about a minute in and doesn’t save either.....wondered if there was a time setting or if it’s meant to be continuous.....iPad AIr 2 latest IOS
In the interest of science, I just tried this on my iPad Air with iOS 11.1.2.
Recorded 3 minutes of random activity. Looks like it takes about 27 Mbytes/minute. Seems like it would go forever.
Format is MPEG-4, 1600x1200 @24.41 fps. No idea where those parameters come from.
The result is stored in Photos.
There is a Restriction for Screen Recording. It's at the bottom of Settings > General > Restrictions. Any chance that's turned off?
Just a thought. Apps can block recording at their discretion. I believe Netflix does this. Others might also, if they have proprietary content to protect. Try recording some dopey stuff and see if it works.
Hi. I assume you mean the iOS 11 screen record feature on your new iPad, not 6.1.4 on the iPad 3?
Do you have plenty of free storage on the iPad, not iCloud?
