13'' MacBook Pro 2017 with Touchbar - Good for Minecraft gaming?

I have been contomplatinggetting the 13'' MacBook Pro 2017 with touchbar, intel i7, 16gb, 512,gb, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650. I currently have a 15'' MacBook Pro mid-2014 (i7, 16gb, 1TB, Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB) and use it for playing Minecraft and other light games. Im not going to get the new MacBook if it's not the same or better than the one I have. I just wanted to make sure I'm not getting a new laptop to be worse for gaming. Just wanted some oppinions on this to make sure. Thanks!

The new MacBook Pro 13 inch with the Touch Bar will be able to handle Minecraft easily. Just keep in mind that your 15 inch model has a quadcore processor and the new 13 inch with Touch Bar has a dual core processor.

I understand that it will be able to perform fine on Minecraft but will it be as good or better that what I’m getting now?

Also, my current Mac is only running 2.8GHz and the MacBook 13’’ has 3.5 ghz will that change mean better performance regardless if dual or quad core?
