Super Mario Run - Linked account (switching devices)

Firstly, I did submit a ticket to the support page within the app itself as well as I posted a thread on nintendo.com (no responses). Supposedly, once your game is "linked" to your My Nintendo account, you can switch devices and continue where you left off(save data wise). I purchased the full game on both Android and iOS. For some reason though, it won't allow me to "link" on another device(it just tells me it's already linked). That and there's no option anywhere to sign out(that I can see).

Does anyone know how to switch devices and continue from your last save?

iPad Pro Wi-Fi, iOS 11.1
