Are power cables interchangable between AppleTv´s Gen 3, Gen 4 and Gen 4k?

Are power cables interchangable between AppleTv´s Gen 3, Gen 4 and Gen 4k?

I just bought AppleTV 4K, and while replacing my old ones, connecting the 4K where the Gen 4 was, and in turn the Gen 4 where the Gen 3 was, I accidentally mixed all three power cords, now I don't know which cable goes with which device.

I am assuming all three cables are the same and therefore interchangeable between those devices, but I would love to have this notion confirmed.

Does anyone know if they are actually interchangeable between each other?, or if it indeed matters which goes where.

power cable is a power cable it's basically copper wires enclosed in plastic

the cable is an industrial std. power cable my old playstation2 has the same as does an old dvd player and ancient radio in the garage if the connector fits you can use a power cable.

I have personally swapped power cables between the models of AppleTV you mentioned as well as current model Mac minis with no issues.

Thanks so much for your response Rudegar, however, apple does make different cables that look almost the same, and functionally wise are not.

Case and point, for fast charging an iPhone you need a high speed charging cable (USB-C), which looks almost the same as the regular USB charging cable, the only difference is one of the connectors.

Both are made of the same copper wires enclosed in plastic, however they don't work the same.

So your response, as accurate is it might be, it might also be wrong in terms of apple peripherals, and their similarity.

As far as assumptions, I definitely concur with you, they might be the same cable, however, from a quick search I´ve seen this topic come again and again, with no certified response, so this time around I´m looking for such a certified opinion from someone within the apple realm, rather than an assumption, which I myself already have, thus obtaining such a certified opinion we all can have some certainty on this matter from here onwards.

Thanks Minacrime, it is really good to know that at the very least you don´t damage the devices from interchanging or swapping their cables.

Still would be great to have a confirmation on this topic from a user that actually works or has worked on apple support or the apple tv project though.
