Safari Emoji Window Not Working

Since upgrading to High Sierra (and Safari 11) I've noticed that my pop up emoji window no longer works. I use them extensively via the keyboard shortcut and it would always pop up a little window that I could click the emoji and it put it into the text. Now it doesn't show at all, I have to go to a different window - like Finder - and do the KB shortcut to get my emoji's and then drag and drop them over to my Safari window.

Anyone else having this issue?

Hello, CraigS-Denver.

It's my understanding that your emoji pop-up window is no longer working when using Safari. I may be able to help you with this. If you haven't done so already, restart your MacBook Pro. I would then start with the basics since we know that Safari is the issue when the keyboard command works with Finder. Check out this article and follow the steps to help isolate the issue: If Safari is slow, stops responding, quits unexpectedly, or has other issues

If none of that helps, then go through these steps to determine if it's an issue with your user account or system software:

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

Let me know if this helps.
