Time length to restore iphone x

I have been trying to two days to get my iPhone X setup. The software on my iPhone 6 is the most current software and was backed up this morning (11/22/17 @ 7:12 am ET). I am using the most current version of iTunes and yet it's saying it will take 7-8 hours to restore iPhone from backup. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? While this is happening, I am unable to use either phone, so when Apple tried to call me at the appointed time, I could not answer.

are you restoring over a network or directly on a computer with iTunes?

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

if you are using the network and other devices are using network resources then expect your network to put priority where it is required, not where you think it should go.

You might want to erase the backup you currently have and do another one from the old phone or backup to iCloud and use it. Or you can use the express setup on the iPhone X.

You either have a LOT of videos, photos, music, etc. or you have a corrupted file.

The backup that was completed this AM is from the old iPhone 6. I am trying to restore from that backup onto the iPhone X. I may need to try to backup to iCloud. What is the express setup on the iPhone X?
