With no sign of coloured light it points towards an internal failure, something which we cannot advise on here. The green light indicates connection and you don't have connection. So.

If the mouse is still under warranty you will have to get it back to an Apple store for their evaluation and probable replacement.

If the mouse is no longer under warranty you will need to replace it. I see no other solution as the mouse is not repairable.

1. Cycle the On/Off switch.

2. Ensure the batteries are compatible, and correctly installed.

According to: https://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1739/en_US/magic-mouse2-userguide. pdf

"Use the Lightning to USB cable that came with your mouse. Plug the Lightning end into the Lightning port on the bottom of your mouse, and the USB end into a USB port on your Mac or a USB power adapter."

Your first post seems to indicate that you tried to replace the battery. To the best of my knowledge, the battery is not user serviceable. As indicated by seventy one, "If the mouse is still under warranty you will have to get it back to an Apple store for their evaluation and probable replacement."

If you did not try to replace the battery, you could try a different USB port.

If it doesn't show a green light with new batteries you need to check

1. If the batteries are connecting properly. Low quality batteries may not be the right size. Shake the mouse to see if there is any sound to indicate movement.

2. Is the connection point in any way contaminated by a previous battery that was found to be leaking. If so clean that point.
