CEA-608 Convert to true CEA-708

Hello! I have been using compressor to encode .SCC files into our SD files when delivering for broadcast. I know compressor doesn't support .MCC files (which ideally we use for HD files on a different software), however how does the CEA-608 upconvert to CEA-708 if I were to submit a .SCC file to be encoded in an HD file? Does it make true CEA-708 Closed Captions or will it be limited to CEA-608? All the information I could find is about how it supports CEA 608 and .SCC format.

Thanks!

Compressor only likes 608 format captions and only with an .scc file. And it works just fine for high definition video, too. The world of closed captioning is a total mess, to be honest.

What are you using to marry .mcc files to video?

We just picked up a client who requires MXF files, but Compressor won't do that. So frustrating...
