Low iphone 6 earpiece volume since latest update

Hi, Since 19 Nov I am facing a peculiar issue with iPhone 6 where volume of earpiece has reduced by more than half. I barely can hear caller. Instead I can hear the caller clearly on Headphone or Speaker. So only issue is with earpiece. I tried all setting and tried reset option as well but no avail. The iPhone was purchased in Nov 2014, completed 3 years without any issue. To add, there is no fall in recent time that would have caused this issue. Recently I upgraded to latest iOS 11.1.2. Please assist.

I visited Apple Service Centre, they diagnosed a fault in font mic and receiver through their software. They told it receiver is a part of iPhone screen and need to replaced as well. Minimum spent is S$198.00. I haven't given my iPhone for repair as I still suspect it could be a software issue. Others if facing similar issues please help.

Apple maintained the issue is with my iPhone 6 front receiver and front mic, as detected in diagnostic tests as well. Changed Front Receiver and Front Mic.
