iPhone not backed up (notification) Help

Hi,

I do a manual itunes back up once a month on mine and my partners iphones on my macbook, rather than icloud. However recently she has been getting a notification on her phone (wont allow me to attach a picture)

---Iphone Not Backed up - This iphone has not been backed up in 35 weeks, Backups happen when this iphone is plugged in, locked and connected to wifi---

Im wondering if anyone can assist as it is rather annoying considering it is backed up. I am assuming it has something to do with icloud and a setting somewhere?

hello Maffew85,

The Backup notification you're issuing is related to iCloud online backup.

Probably the iCloud haven't the required space to backup all the data on you device.

try to check the icloud drive space:

Settings -> Your Name (Id apple settings, the first on the setting menu) -> iCloud -> Space section.

And check if you have enough space to backup your device.

Hi Dindonio, thanks for the prompt reply.

I know on mine i upgraded the icloud space, but i do not believe i did this with my partners.

She doesnt really want to use the icloud to back up, so is it possible to stop this notification and just continue with manual itunes back ups.

Hello Maffew85,

sure you can disable the icloud backup on your parents device and so, remove the annoying backup notification.

Go in :

settings -> your id settings -> iCloud -> Backup iCloud -> turn off the backup.
