How do I resume uploading my photos? “Upload Paused for X Items” “Saving Battery Power”

Iphone X - 256GB - IOS 11.1.2

Switched on iCloud Photos but now I’m stuck with this message after I remove iPhone from power source.

Upload Paused for X Items Resume

Saving Battery Power

I have been clicking on the Resume link but it does not do anything at all. I have tried to sign in and out of iCloud but the problem remains the same. I made sure that my phone is not on low power mode and it’s now at 100%.

The upload only resumes when I plug my iPhone X to a power source.

Any advice guys? Have attached a screenshot.

[UPDATE]: Solution on the above issue I posted earlier.

Keep your iPhone plug to a power source. Make sure that the Photo app and your phone is awake. Best is to set the Auto Lock to "Never". Figured it the hard way.

Hi Diana,

Thank you for the advice. Well it seems like Apple Support also advice me same thing as you did. Issue might be with the number of photos being uploaded at that time.

Sadly "Resume" it still non-responsive unless iPhone is connected to a power source. Oh well! Hope Apple would look into this issue further.

Well that was classified as solved but I disagree. I don't really want my phone deciding when to pause, let me make that decision. And I certainly don't want to have to have my phone on to Auto lock all the time. Give us back control. I have had it pause when I've had over 90% battery!!??

Hi. I'm not sure what the problem is. You can use your phone while it's on battery, and uploading will continue when you connect to power.
