Running a VPN Connection Through a Socks Proxy

Sometimes I internet using a Socks Proxy.

I want to connect to VPN using the same Socks Proxy but it is not working in macOS 10.12.6.

How can I force the built in VPN client to use the Socks Proxy.

I changed the Proxy setting already on the VPN but they are not working.

VPN is typically at a lower level in the networking stack than a Proxy. A Proxy tends to be something applications use, especially web browsers.

You can use a proxy on top of a VPN, but generally not the other way around.

Which VPN service are you using? Do they also support SOCKS Proxy Server services?
